Ashley Wood, PGA: Head of Player Development

Ashley Wood, a PGA of America Professional and a certified fitness professional, returns to the Lake Tahoe community of Incline Village after serving as the Head PGA Professional and Director of Fitness at the prestigious Presidio Golf & Concordia Club in San Francisco, from 2016-2019. Wood a native to Incline Village started both skiing and golfing at a young age and has always loved the Tahoe lifestyle. After graduating from Incline High School, she then earned a spot on the San Diego State University (SDSU) Division I Women’s Golf team and earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Kinesiology. She then attended graduate school at SDSU earning a Master’s Degree in Kinesiology with emphasis in athletic development and sports and exercise psychology. Ashley also was an Assistant Golf Professional at the non-profit Pro Kids –The First Tee of San Diego as well as Assistant Women’s Golf Coach at her alma mater SDSU. She has a passion for helping others live a happy and healthy lifestyle through the game of golf and is very excited to be back in her hometown where she can give back to a community that gave her so much. Robert Bruce, PGA: First Assistant Golf Professional

After college, Rob moved to Southern California to attend the San Diego Golf Academy.  He worked at the Championship Golf Course from 1996 – 2004 and then continued to expand his knowledge and experience by working at different types of facilities in the area. Rob graduated from the Golf Professional Training Program of the PGA of America and returned to the Championship Golf Course.  His experience over the years includes golf shop operations, tournament operations, junior golf camps, private and group golf instruction and merchandising.

Din Fuad is a Certified Instructor and Club Fitter at the PGA TOUR Golf Academy in St. Augustine, Florida where he has been teaching alongside Neil Gunn for the past four years. With his passion for golf and experience as a competitive player, Din takes pride in providing elite level golf instruction and fitting experience to his students regardless if you are a beginner or a seasoned professional. Donny joins us with 10+ years in the golf industry, having held positions at Arrowhead Golf Course & Red Rocks CC in Colorado including golf operations staff supervisor to Tournament coordinator. Educated at the University of Colorado graduating with a B.S. in business management, Donny has made the move to Reno to be with his longtime girlfriend, and is extremely excited to be part of the Mountain Course golf team. 

Jeff Clouthier, CGCS: Golf Course Superintendent, Championship Course

Jeff grew up in Littleton, Colorado and has overseen all golf course maintenance and construction activities on the Championship and Mountain golf courses since June 2001.  He also served as the project manager for the full renovation of the Championship course in 2003.  Before coming to Incline Village he worked as a golf course superintendent in Logan, Utah and Highlands Ranch, Colorado, and was the construction superintendent on a new course in Highlands Ranch as well.  He received his B.S. degree in Business Administration from the University of Wyoming and also has a Certificate from Cornell University in Turfgrass Management.  He earned the prestigious designation of Certified Golf Course Superintendent from the Golf Course Superintendents Association of America in 1999.  His various awards include the 2015 and 2006 “GCSAA Environmental Leaders in Golf” awards, and the GCSAA Environmental Achievement certification in Golf Course Development.  Jeff also served the Incline Village community as the head baseball coach of Incline High School for 7 years, leading the team to the state championship in 2015. Spencer developed a passion for golf maintenance while working seasonal golf course maintenance in Estes Park, Colorado. This led him to obtain a B.S. in Horticulture from Iowa State University. While at Iowa State, he did multiple internships at Yellowstone Club, Montreux Golf and Country Club, and helped construct a new practice facility for the ISU golf teams. After graduation Spencer returned to Yellowstone Club as the Senior Assistant Superintendent and has spent the last six years as Assistant Superintendent at Montreux. He has worked seven PGA Tour events including the Barracuda Championship and the Arnold Palmer Invitational. 

Jose Luis Torres, Assistant Superintendent - Mountain Course

Jose was recently promoted to the position of Assistant Superintendent at the Mountain Course. He served as the Maintenance Foreman at the Championship Course for seven years, after previously working as the Foreman at the Mountain Course from 2003 – 2011. He started with IVGID as a seasonal employee before quickly proving his value to the golf course maintenance operation and working his way up to a full time position.
