Youth Tennis & Pickleball Programs
Various programs and camps are offered during the summer months to help develop our junior and youth tennis players. Tennis pros are also available for private and semi-private lessons.
Registration
Call the Pro Shop at (775) 832-1235 to register for programs and events. Some programs and events may also be available for online registration at Register.YourTahoePlace.com. Click on "Youth Tennis" in the Activity Search section to locate and register for most of these programs online.
2024 Youth Tennis Programs
Mini Munchkin & Munchkin Tennis Clinics (ages 4-5 & 6-7):
A perfect opportunity to develop our youngest tennis players. Enrollment is available in monthly sessions. These afternoon clinics are split into sessions for ages 4-5 (Mini Munchkins) and ages 6-7 (Munchkins). View the Munchkin Tennis Clinics page for more information.
USTA Quick Start Youth Tennis Camps (ages 6-10):
Weekly tennis camps focus on stroke production, techniques, match play and tennis rules through specialized activities and drills. The camp also promotes teamwork, sportsmanship and a high emphasis on fun! Camps are taught by certified USPTA instructors. View more information on the USTA Quickstart Tennis Camps page.
Blue Academy (ages 11-13)
Focused instruction for middle schoolers who are looking to grow their game. View more information on the Blue Academy page.
Silver Academy (ages 14-18)
Technical instruction, drills and conditioning for high schoolers who have some tennis experience. View more information on the Silver Academy page.

Youth Pickleball Camp (ages 6-10)
Pickleball camps focus on learning and developing your technical skills, pickleball rules and games through specialized activities and drills. View more information on the Youth Pickleball Camp page.
Additional Pickleball Fridays
Alongside the Mon-Thur USTA Quickstart Tennis camps, this year we are offering an additional Friday course that is a mini version of our Pickleball camps. Participate in addition to any USTA Quickstart Camp or on it's own and get an introduction to pickleball through specialized activities and drills.
- Days: Any Friday following a USTA Quickstart Tennis session
- Fees: $67, $50 w/ IVGID Recreation Pass
