Indra Winquest hired as General Manager of IVGID by unanimous vote

General Improvement District (IVGID) unanimously voted to appoint Indra Winquest as the district's general manager.“  On behalf of the board of trustees and community, we welcome Indra Winquest as our general manager ,” said Chairman Tim Callicrate. “ Indra is a very thoughtful, passionate, and competent leader with an exemplary record of service to the district, and we are
confident he will exceed as the general manager of IVGID .” 

Winquest has worked for IVGID for more than 17 years. He was originally hired in 2003 as the senior recreation clerk. He has since worked his way through the ranks of IVGID,having been promoted to recreation supervisor in 2005, parks and recreation superintendent in 2008, director of parks and recreation/community services in 2014,
assistant general manager in 2019, and interim general manager in 2020. 

“ From clerk to general manager is an amazing career path to look back on and I'm humbled to now officially lead IVGID’s dedicated and talented staff ,” added Indra Winquest. “ I’m thankful for all my current and former IVGID colleagues and trustees that helped me learn and succeed through the years. My priorities over the next year will include managing IVGID through the COVID-19 pandemic, conducting a utility reserve fund and rate study, managing the effluent pipeline and pond lining project, revising Ordinance 7, and improving our capital planning and internal controls, to name a few. ”

Winquest’s role as general manager became effective on July 1, 2020.
