Welcome message from Darren Howard
The summer season is here and all of our IVGID Summer venues are prepared and ready for what should be a very busy season. Now that restrictions have been lifted, all of our venues are operating at full capacity, and life as we once knew it is now mostly back to normal.
The golf courses began the season in incredible condition thanks to the hard work Jeff Clouthier and his staff have done - especially all of the fall preparation work that leads into great conditions for the next summer. We are already experiencing heavy bookings at both golf courses, and just as a reminder, IVGID Picture Pass holders can book tee times more than two weeks out, with a pre-booking fee. Please take advantage of this, especially if you know you are going to have guests coming into town and you know they would like to play golf.
And it’s not just the golf courses that are popular this summer! Many of our various clinics, camps, classes and special events are filling up (or already sold out) at all of the summer recreation venues across the District. But there are still plenty of opportunities to get outside and try something new, meet some new friends, or improve upon your skills…
Please see our website at www.yourtahoeplace.com to check out the calendars and offerings for all of our venues and review the directions on how to sign up.
Food & Beverage operations are up and running at The Chateau and the Mountain Golf Course this summer, and Chef Bill has some great new items on the menu as well as some of your old favorites. We also have a great new food & beverage partner running F&B operations at Incline and Burnt Cedar beaches this summer, and we’re excited to see what new items they bring to the beach menus.
The new Burnt Cedar pool is also a big hit, with a brand-new pool and toddler pool with enhanced views of Lake Tahoe and family-friendly features. We already know this will be a very popular spot this summer, so show up early on those busy weekends and holiday dates.
Incline Village and Crystal Bay has many outdoor opportunities for those who are active and like to spend time outdoors, so plan your season accordingly and enjoy all that this region has to offer when it comes to outdoor activities.
We hope to see you out and about often this summer enjoying all of our venues and facilities and all the great programs our staff have created for our community members and guests this summer.
Keep it simple,
Director of Golf and Community Services
