Incline Village, Nev. (June 17, 2019) - Incline Village General Improvement District (IVGID) General Manager Steven Pinkerton has announced his resignation of the District's top executive post. Pinkerton has accepted a position in a similar role with a public entity in California. His last day with IVGID will be in September 2019.

“It has been an honor and pleasure to serve the communities of Incline Village and Crystal Bay,” Pinkerton stated in his resignation letter to the Chair of the Board of Trustees. “I am proud of what the IVGID team has accomplished in the past five years. It has been a blessing to work with such a dedicated and capable staff and I’m confident that the District will continue to provide exceptional service to its stakeholders for many years to come.”

Hired as IVGID’s general manager in 2014, Pinkerton has helped guide IVGID through a series of infrastructure improvements, financial planning and transparency initiatives, and community engagement programs, which helped garner IVGID a 90% favorability score in a survey of property owners.

Working closely with the Board of Trustees, Pinkerton oversaw the improvement of key public facilities and amenities, while putting IVGID in a position of financial strength with revenues exceeding expenses for four consecutive years. IVGID’s outstanding debt has been decreased by 50%, while recreation fees have remained flat and utility rates are now the lowest in the Tahoe Basin.

Trustee Chair Kendra Wong expressed her appreciation for Pinkerton’s leadership and management of IVGID. “On behalf of the Board of Trustees, we wish Steve the best in his new role. He will be greatly missed. Thanks to his leadership, IVGID is in a better position financially to fund existing and future capital improvement needs. Our next step is to begin the search for a new General Manager, and the efforts Steve and the executive team have made in building and sustaining a top-quality District will present a rewarding opportunity for interested candidates.”
