E.P.I.C. Early Childhood Adventure Camps

For our youngest campers, ages 3 - 6, our E.P.I.C. Adventure Camps use a fun-filled interdisciplinary curriculum to highlight the connections between art, literature, math and science through hands-on exploration of camp themes. Stories, songs, art, crafts, science, creative snacks and play are all part of a typical camp day. Campers must be potty trained and able to take themselves to the toilet. They must be able to participate and enjoy a large group setting and cannot have attended first grade yet.

Our most popular camp, Passport Adventure travelers grab their passports and journey around the globe visiting different countries and continents. During our adventure, we explore what makes each destination unique including food, animals, games, art and more. Campers may enroll in either Session A or Session B but not both. The content for these weeks is the same.

July 23 - 26  Prehistoric Adventure Camp- Now accepting a waitlist

Get ready to jump through a portal to the past where far away times, places and adventures are waiting. We’ll walk with the dinosaurs; explore ancient plants, volcanoes and early-human tools. We may even make friends with some cave people and chase a dragon fly as it passes by.

July 30 - August 2nd  Outdoor Adventure- Now accepting a waitlist 

When we venture outdoors there’s tons of fun in store! Campers will create with nature’s finest elements and explore what makes the outdoors so special including animals, water, trees, rocks, bugs and other outdoor awesomeness. Our adventure concludes with a visit from some the world’s most amazing wildlife.

Looking for adventure for the kids this summer? Base Camp is a fun filled, fast paced environment. Engaged physically, mentally, and creatively, campers will find it impossible not to make friends and have a great time. Crafts and games will follow weekly themes while campers also experience all that Tahoe has to offer: daily swimming, hiking, golfing, and E.P.I.C. field Trips.

Summer 2018 Specialty Camps: 

Earth Studio Art Workshops AM and PM Sessions

Ages: 7-12 ( this program is limited to 8 students)

Earth Studio Art workshops will introduce students to eco-conscious art inspired by the natural environment of beautiful Lake Tahoe.  As weather permits, students will explore their surroundings and be working out doors to learn and practice art techniques in watercolors, acrylics, printmaking and clay. On the final day, students will display their works for friends and family to view. All supplies included.

Summer Paddle Sport Camp 

Ages: 8-12 (This program is limited to 12 participants per session)

Summer Paddle Sport Camps are designed to challenge and develop your paddling and fitness skills.  Participants will engage in land-based and water-based training exercises to increase your SUP paddling performance and your overall level of fitness.  Learn proper paddling fundamentals of stand-up paddleboarding, prone paddling and surfing along with water safety awareness.  Participate in fun teambuilding activities and a variety of physical education games and sports.  Participants must be able to swim!  Equipment is provided (SUP board, paddle, Personal Floatation Device (PFD) and leash).  Campers must bring swimwear, towel, footwear, water bottle, sweatshirt, sunscreen and a hat.  Optional wetsuits are available to rent.  Must have IVGID Beach access.

America the Beautiful

Ages: Entering 1st - 5th Grade (campers must be at least 6 and have completed kindergarten)
This mini camp brings together everything we love about the 4th of July: Summer food, upbeat music, festive decorations and stories about our wonderful country.  We’ll make delicious patriotic snacks and an all-American lunch.  In addition to cooking, activities include hand-sewing projects, crafts, games and stories to celebrate the land that we love.  Campers will need to bring a lunch on Monday but we will provide lunch for Tuesday.

Passport Plus

Ages: Entering 1st - 5th Grade (campers must be at least 6 and have completed kindergarten)

An enhanced version of our popular Passport Adventure camp, this camp is designed for elementary-aged children who love to “travel” to faraway places.  During our adventure, we’ll explore what makes each destination unique, including animals, games, art and more. Campers will also be involved in creating in-flight entertainment, “regional” food and other cultural activities.  This camp meets in the same location and collaborates with the Passport Adventure camp while offering extended and age appropriate activities for older campers.

Outdoor Exploration

Ages: Entering 1st - 5th Grade (campers must be at least 6 and have completed kindergarten)

Designed for nature lovers, animal lovers, 
outdoor art lovers and campers with younger siblings and friends, this camp meets in the same location and collaborates with the Outdoor Adventure camp while offering extended and age appropriate activities for older campers. Each day we’ll explore what makes the outdoors so special.  Nature art, games and snacks will focus on animals, rocks, water, trees, bugs and other outdoor awesomeness.   Our adventure concludes with a visit from some of the world’s most amazing wildlife.

Culinary Creations Camp

Ages: 2nd - 5th Grade

All sessions Includes: Kitchen safety, Cookbook creation, supervised lunch time, two snacks, materials, and enough recipes to fill up your cookbook and get you starting on becoming your family’s Chef!

Learn the basic techniques of measuring ingredients, mixing, blending, chopping, stirring and more! Combine these newly acquired skills with relative cooking vocabulary to dazzle your family with homemade results! Camps include a variety of food choices designed to teach cooking (an art) and baking (a science) to show the value of following recipes! All participants will be hands-on with each creation and enjoy the fruits of their labor when the dishes are done!

Middle School Summer Volleyball Skills Camp

(Ages 10 - 13)

Camp is designed to teach players the overall basics of volleyball, (passing, serving, attacking, blocking and defense) and how those skills relate to team volleyball!
