Assist outdoors with brush cutting work at Diamond Peak Ski Resort, Championship and Mountain Golf Courses, Parks & Recreation, Public Works & undeveloped District land; including assistance with facility ops at Diamond Peak. Req: HS Diploma (GED) & experience using chain saws or landscaping tools. Valid DL, attend 16 hr chain saw course in maintenance, operation & bucking; CPR & Standard 1st Aid certs w/in 1 mo. of hire. Work in a self-directed environment. Work independently & as part of a team. Must be self motivated and show a high level of initiative. Basic knowledge/ability to safely use small hand tools, chain saws, pole saws & brush cutters. Good customer service and heavy equipment skills. Communicate effectively with customers & employees. Possess physical strength and stamina; able to regularly lift and/or move 50 to 100 lbs. Read and interpret safety and operating manuals. Function well in adverse weather conditions. Able to work courteously and efficiently with the public. Schedule M - F approximately May thru October & potential for snowmaking job in the winter. Rate: Starts $12/hr
