Active Adult Snowshoe Hikes
Trekkers of all abilities are welcome to join IVGID Senior Programs on Tuesdays for light to moderate level snowshoe outings at various locations throughout the beautiful Sierra. Following the hikes, relax and socialize with fellow snowshoers and enjoy a delicious lunch at a local eating establishment. Hikes are subject to current weather conditions. Bring your own gear.
Details
Please bring a day pack, water, snowshoes, goggles, winter apparel, and camera.
Dates (start date pending sufficient snow):Tuesdays, December 2023 - April 9, 2024 (weather & conditions permitting)
Time: 10:00am – 2:00pm
Location: Various locations. Meet at the back of the Recreation Center parking lot at 9:45 a.m. (980 Incline Way)
Fee per hike: $22, $18 w/ IVGID Pass (includes hike, guides, transportation and lunch)
Participants must supply their own snowshoe equipment. Contact Village Ski Loft if you need to rent snowshoes and poles.
Registration
Registration for the season opens November 28th at 9:00am. Pre-registration is required by Monday at 5:00pm. Register online, call the Parks & Recreation Counter at 775-832-1310, or register at the Recreation Center (980 Incline Way).
