2018 was an eventful and successful season filled with sold out Nine and Wine’s, fantastic course conditions, excellent teamwork/customer service, our 50th Anniversary Celebration and then the kitchen fire. I was honored when our great Director of Golf, Michael McCloskey, hired me as the Head Golf Professional of the Incline Village Mountain Course. As many of you know I was the 1st Assistant at the Mountain Course in 2007 and it was a great course with a great team back in 2007. In 2018 the course is in better shape, the team is outstanding, Nine and Wine is an even better event that Chef Bill has mastered and IVGID is still the best organization to be a part of.
Moving forward for 2019 we are planning to add some additional Nine and Wine dates and new programing that will only enhance your golfing experience. We will be renovating the current clubhouse building over the winter season with the intent to provide a new user-friendly layout with better accommodations for our golfing clientele. Clubhouse construction updates will be given periodically throughout the winter months via the golfincline.com website.
The Mountain Niner’s had an excellent year, with their largest membership to date, on the course with their sold out Tournaments and Play Days and I would like to thank them for their patience as I grew into my role as the Mountain Course Head Pro. I would like to thank the Teester’s for their continued patronage on the Mountain Course as well. I would like to thank Bruce Gordon and the rest of the Gol-Fit golfers for making the Mountain Course a true test of endurance and fitness in the game of golf. I would like to thank everyone who participated in Family Fun Golf Days. Sunday’s are officially the “Family Day” of golf at the Mountain Course and it’s a joy to see all the families enjoy the course together and build memories around the game of golf.
I would like to thank the Championship Course team in particular Rob Bruce for teaching me the ropes and for always being there for any questions and assistance. I would like to thank Dave and Gina for their perseverance and sense of adventure working two weeks outside the Golf Shop after the kitchen fire. I would like to thank Jose and his team for making this golf course one of the best Executive Golf Courses in the country. Lastly, I would like to thank Michael McCloskey for his fantastic leadership, patience and expertise. I have learned so much from him this season and I’m proud to be part of his team.
I’m looking forward to an exciting 2019 season. My goal this winter is to play all the best Executive and Par 3 courses in the country, thriving in the fact that the Mountain Course is the best in all the land!
Thanks for welcoming Rob Dugan and me into your outstanding community. This is truly an exceptional community to serve and I’m looking forward to serving your golfing needs in 2019.
