Join IVGID Senior Programs in a new hiking opportunity! Walk and talk at a leisurely pace in these 3-4 mile hikes with gentle elevation gain. Enjoy the views, take photos, and make friends!
Details
Meet at the Recreation Center at 8:15am for a prompt 8:30am departure. Bring water, lunch, sunglasses/hat, and sunscreen, and hiking poles. Wear appropriate shoes and clothing. All hikes are weather permitting when safety is affected.
Who: Seniors 55+ (Adults 21+ welcome)
Dates: Mondays, May 6 - October 28, 2024
- Excludes May 27 and September 2
Times: 8:15am – approximately 2:00pm (some hikes will require more or less time)
Location: Meet in the Recreation Center lobby (980 Incline Way)
Daily Fee: $15, $12 w/ IVGID Pass

- Location: Tahoe Meadows, Mt.Rose
- Trail details: 2.5 miles with a 269 ft elevation gain
July 22:
- Location: Galena Nature Trail, Mt.Rose/Galena
- Trail details: 2.6 miles with a 164 ft elevation gain
July 29:
- Location: Chickadee Ridge, Mt.Rose
- Trail details: 2.7 miles witha 262 ft elevation gain
August 5:
- Location: Spooner Lake Trail Loop
- Trail details: 2.5 miles with a 124 ft elevation gain
August 12:
- Location: Pam Emmerich Memorial Trail, Tahoe Vista
- Trail details: 2.5 miles with a 102 ft elevation gain
