Youth Dance Programs

Engaging dance programs for youth of all ages. Ballet shoes and appropriate apparel are recommended.

  • Fee: includes 10 classes, dress rehearsal, a recital, and a costume

About the instructor: Danielle Pearson

Danielle has taught children’s ballet & jazz classes of all levels for over 10 years in Lake Tahoe and San Francisco. Her ballet training started at the age of nine with Jill Mattson Classical Ballet of Lake Tahoe. Since then, she has trained and danced professionally with a variety of different dance companies in Nevada and the Bay Area. Danielle’s love for dance is clearly reflected in her teaching approach, and her primary objective is to cultivate and inspire that same enthusiasm in her students.

Class Options

Tiny Tutus

Tiny Tutus is for young co-ed dancers ready to start their ballet adventure.

  • Ages: 3-4 years old
  • Days/Times: Fridays, 3:45 – 4:30pm
    • No class Oct. 11, 26, Nov. 29
  • Fees: $335, $250 with IVGID Pass

Fairytale Ballet

Co-ed dancers learn ballet fundamentals while reenacting their favorite fairytales.

  • Ages: 5-7 years old
  • Days/Times: Fridays, 4:45 – 5:30pm
    • No class Oct. 11, 26, Nov. 29
  • Fees: $335, $250 with IVGID Pass

Kids Jazz/Hip Hop

Dancers are taught warm-up, flexibility, isolation methods, and simple jazz and hip-hop movements to energetic and upbeat music. Emphasis is placed on rhythm, basic technique, movement combinations, locomotor skills, and coordination within an atmosphere of joyful creativity!

  • Ages: 7-11 years old
  • Days/Times: Fridays, 5:45  6:30pm
    • No class Oct. 11, 26, Nov. 29
  • Fees: $335, $250 with IVGID Pass

Dance Solos

Soloist is a semi-private dance class for students who want to be pushed beyond their current dance level and learn to dance a solo.  Dancers are taught to create a routine, combine dance moves for smooth transitions, and how to choose the right music. Emphasis is placed on rhythm, intermediate techniques, movement combinations, locomotor skills, and coordination within an atmosphere of joyful creativity! Pre-qualification is required to register.
