IVGID Aquatics offers a variety of programs for kids and adults throughout the year at the Incline Recreation Center indoor pool and Burnt Cedar outdoor pool. To register for these programs in person or by phone please visit the Recreation Center, 980 Incline Way, or call (775) 832-1310. Some programs may also be available for online registration at Register.YourTahoePlace.com.

Lessons

Group Swim Lessons

Swim lessons are offered for a variety of ages and abilities. Programs are designed to follow the American Red Cross Learn-to-Swim guidelines.

Youth & Adult Private or Semi-Private Swim Lessons

Private lessons are available with Water Safety Instructors, as well as stroke clinics with our swim coaches. To make a private lesson request, please use the Contact Form and choose “Aquatics.” All private lessons are subject to the availability of instructor staff. Lessons must be paid for in advance; payment must be made at the Recreation Center Counter. Fees:

  • ½ hour lesson (one student) $63, $47 w/ IVGID Pass
  • Semi-private (two students): $77, $58 w/ IVGID Pass
  • 4-Pack (one student): $232, $174 w/ IVGID Pass
  • 4-Pack Semi-private (two students): $301, $226 w/ IVGID Pass.
  • Pods (4 students): $126, $95 w/ IVGID Pass

Aqua Fitness Classes

American Red Cross Lifeguard Training Classes

This sanctioned course encompasses: Lifeguarding, CPR for the Professional Rescuer, First Aid, and AED Certifications. All applicants must be able to pass a skills pre-requisite swim test. Must attend all classes and complete all online coursework to be eligible for the final exam. If there are any current trainings, they will be posted on the American Red Cross Lifeguard Training web page.

Youth Water Polo/Splash Ball

Water polo and Splash Ball will provide athletes (2nd – 6th grade) with a fun and competitive environment to increase their swimming ability as well as overall fitness. Details for next session coming soon…

Youth Swim Clinic

Summer Splash Swim Program

The Summer Splash Swim Program focuses on stroke development and overall swimming endurance while having fun in the Burnt Cedar Pool. Visit the Summer Splash Swim page for more information.

Splashes & Glasses (Sept – Apr)

Swim, connect, and indulge with other women on Wednesday evenings. Swim from and then join the group for an optional après swim outing at various locations around town. View more information about the current session on the Splashes & Glasses page.

Swim Around Tahoe

To complete this program you can swim in the pool, the lake, or whatever facility you desire. Write down your mileage and we will track your progress. Upon completion of your 71-mile journey, you will receive a t-shirt and your name on “the finishers” plaque at the pool. If you are ready to get in shape, sign up at the Rec Center and get started!  Swim Around Tahoe is open to swimmers of all ages and levels with annual registration. Fee: $54, $41 w/ IVGID Pass.

Pre-Swim Team

Northern Nevada Aquatics Swim Team
