
Burnt Cedar Pool & Programming

Burnt Cedar Beach offers an outdoor pool with a beautiful Lake Tahoe view, waterslide, snack bar, lounge area and an adjacent toddler pool. The beach area features a small sandy beach with a protected swimming cove, a large grassy point with benches, a playground, multiple barbecue and group picnic areas, and a full line of paddleboard and kayak rentals. The full-service outdoor bar offers a selection of drinks with cocktail servers offering beach-side service.

Access & Admission Rates
The Burnt Cedar Beach and Burnt Cedar Pool are managed by the Incline Village General Improvement District (IVGID) for the use of IVGID Recreation Pass and Recreation Punch Card holders (with beach access), and their guests. The pool is located within the beach gates so beach admission and rules apply.

Pool Rules & Regulations
- Please shower before entering the pool.
Children under the age of 14 shall not use the pool without a parent or adult guardian in attendance.
- Watch your Children closely. Please keep non-swimming children within arm’s reach when in the water.
- Whistle means danger, pay attention.
- Persons having currently active diarrhea within the previous 14 days shall not be allowed to enter the water.
- Swim diapers are required for all patrons who are not toilet trained.
- No glass permitted on the pool deck or on the beach.
- No running, horseplay, or dunking allowed.
- No diving at the shallow end of the pool.
- No long underwater breath-holding.
- Flotation devices are allowed with lifeguard approval.
- Please do not talk to the lifeguard except for safety reasons.
- Food & drink are allowed in designated areas only.
- Proper swim attire must be worn, no cutoffs or T-shirts.
- No swimming or other use of the facility after dark.

Burnt Cedar Pool Amenities
Burnt Cedar Beach Snack Bar
Fuel up with beach favorites including burgers, chicken tenders, hot dogs, or a refreshing salad or sandwich. Non-alcoholic beverages and kids meals are also available.
Burnt Cedar Barefoot Bar
Quench your thirst with a variety of beer, wine, spirits, smoothies, and handmade cocktails served by Incline Spirits’ experienced bartenders at the Incline Beach and Burnt Cedar Beach Barefoot Bars. The signature drink, Barefoot Breeze, is a frozen delight that will blow you away! Order at the bar or look for one of the cocktail servers on the beach or pool deck during peak periods. The Burnt Cedar Barefoot Bar is located adjacent to the Snack Bar overlooking the pool.
Adult Swim Sessions (ages 18+)
During open swim sessions there is periodically an adult-only swim period. This time period is typically on the hour for the duration of fifteen minutes and will be announced by the lifeguards. Those under 18 years old are required to get out of the water completely and are encouraged to take a break to use the bathroom, eat, reapply sunscreen, etc.
Toddler Pool
The toddler pool is for kids ages 6 and under and their guardians. One side has a beach entry, which allows little ones to enjoy the pool with a gradual entry, and the other side has a water feature that sprays water from above. The toddler pool closes for short breaks throughout the day. During the breaks, users must get out of the water and are encouraged to take a break to use the bathroom, eat, apply sunscreen, etc. Diaper changes are not permitted in this area, but there are a diaper changing stations adjacent to the pool (next to the outdoor shower) and inside the bathrooms.
Indoor / Outdoor Showers & Lockers
There is an outdoor shower as well as indoor showers located in the bathrooms in the pool area. Soap is typically available in the indoor shower stalls. There are a limited amount of lockers in the bathrooms for daily use, but you must bring your own lock. Diaper changing tables are located next to outdoor shower and inside both bathrooms on the pool deck.
Flotation Devices
Life jackets and puddle jumpers are available to borrow for pool/beach use at the First Aid room at the Burnt Cedar lifeguard office. Leave your IVGID Pass or ID to check them out and return before the pool closes for the day. We have a variety of sizes, from small to large puddle-jumpers and infant, child, youth, and adult life vests. We do not allow water wings or anything that is not Coast-Guard approved.
Note: Use of flotation devices and blow-up toys are at the lifeguards’ discretion. Large blow-up boats and toys are not permitted and medium and small flotation devices may not be permitted if the pool is crowded due to safety reasons. If a non-swimming child is floating in a blow-up, the parent/guardian must be within arms-reach of the child/non-swimmer.
Designated Eating Areas
Food and beverages can be consumed on the pool deck but not while in the pool. There are also a limited amount of picnic tables on the pool deck and on the 2nd floor snack bar deck adjacent to the Barefoot Bar.
Lost & Found
Items found at the Burnt Cedar Pool are kept at the First Aid room at the Burnt Cedar lifeguard office until end of the month and then brought to the main lost and found at the Incline Village Recreation Center.
Lounge Chairs & Umbrellas
There are lounge chairs and a limited amount of umbrellas on the pool deck. You may bring your own chairs and umbrellas that can be safely attached to a chair or table.
