Michael McCloskey, PGA: Director of Golf, Championship & Mountain Courses

Michael McCloskey joined The Golf Courses at Incline Village as the Assistant Golf Professional/Tournament Coordinator in 2008 and is now the Director of Golf for both the Championship and Mountain Golf courses. Michael competed in golf tournaments at the highest level both on the state and national ranks up to college. Michael completed the prestigious New Mexico State University PGA Professional Golf Management Program. Jeff Clouthier, CGCS: Golf Course Superintendent, Championship Course

Jeff is a native of Littleton, CO and is married with two sons. Jeff has been in the golf business since 1988 and has been a superintendent since 1991. Before joining us, he was the golf course superintendent in Logan, Utah and Highlands Ranch, CO, where he also served as the construction superintendent on a new course (in Highlands Ranch). His various awards include the 2015 GCSAA Environmental Leader in Golf award, 2006 "GCSAA Environmental Leaders in Golf" award, and the "GCSAA Environmental Achievement Certification in Golf Course Development." To contact Jeff directly please email at jrc@ivgid.org or call (775) 832-1296

Kyle Thornburg, PGA: Head Golf Professional, Championship Course


Kyle Thornburg joined the Incline Village Golf Team in 2013 as the Tournament Coordinator/Assistant Golf Professional. He spends his winter months as the Co-Head Golf Professional at The Arizona Country Club in Phoenix, AZ. Kyle played four years of high school varsity golf, then two years at the collegiate level while attending Monterey Peninsula College.  Kyle has worked for some of the top golf courses in the world, including Cypress Point Golf Club. Rob Bruce, PGA: 1st Assistant Golf Professional, Championship Course 

Rob is a PGA class A Member and leads the golf shop staff at the Championship Course. He grew up playing golf with his family on weekends and his passion motivated him to pursue a degree in Municipal Recreation at the University of Nevada, Reno and attend the San Diego Golf Academy.  In 1996 Rob took a position as the Assistant Golf Professional at the Championship Golf Course and worked here until 2004. He then spent several years working at Genoa Lakes, Coyote Moon and Schaffer’s Mill Golf Club before graduating from the GPTP (Golf Professional Training Program) of the PGA of America.  His experience includes Golf shop operations, tournament operations, junior golf camps, private and group golf instruction, and merchandising. Scott Schuster: Golf Teaching Professional 

Scott Schuster has been a Golf Instructor and Club Fitter in Florida since 2006; working at many high profile golf courses such as Lake Nona Golf and Country Club as well as TPC Sawgrass.  Scott grew up in Fernley, Nevada and played golf in the Reno/Tahoe area every chance he could get. Joining the US Army in 1997, he served over six years as an AH-64D Apache crew chief with duty stations in Korea, Georgia and Iraq. He began his golf career as an Assistant Professional at Lake Nona Golf and Country Club where he became a Mitchell certified club fitter and repairer.  Scott then worked for the PGA TOUR Academy at TPC Sawgrass perfecting his skills under the mentorship of Neil Gunn and Todd Jones.  While working with the TOUR Academy, Scott opened a golf school in Broomfield Colorado. Neil Gunn: Golf Teaching Professionalneil gunn headshot

Neil Gunn comes to Incline Village as a Lead Golf Instructor from TPC Sawgrass and World Golf Village in Saint Augustine, Florida, where he has been employed with the PGA Tour Academy since 2003. Prior to that, he was the Lead Golf School Instructor for the PGA of America at PGA Village in Port St. Lucie, Florida. During his time at both facilities Neil has worked with several Top-100 Teachers in America, drawing from their vast knowledge and experience to perfect his instruction methods. Neil also travels nationally teaching golf clinics for Fortune-500 companies as well as Junior golf in Malaysia and Singapore. Neil Gunn grew up in Toronto, Canada and graduated from Slippery Rock University in PA. He has played in many mini-tour events and has a career low score of 66 in competition. He has great knowledge of the swing and continues to add to his knowledge base through PGA continuing education. His greatest asset though, is his interpersonal skills and relaying key elements of the golf swing in easy to understand language. Neil is happy to be returning to Incline Village for a third time and working hard for the residents and guests of Incline Village.
