Fall Wedding at The Chateau: Ashley & Rob

Ashley and Rob tied the knot at The Chateau at Incline Village on a beautiful Tahoe fall day. We caught up with Ashley after the wedding to hear about her experience:

How did you meet?

We first crossed paths at The Local, a neighborhood bar. He was there with colleagues, and I was unwinding with a drink after work. He caught my eye, and I initiated conversation by pretending to recognize him but also forgetting his name. My subtle hint didn’t quite land haha, but it did serve as an icebreaker, leading to our beginning. From that point on, things quickly progressed between us.

Why did you choose The Chateau?

Our decision to choose the Chateau was influenced by several significant factors. Firstly, we have deep roots in Incline Village as long-term residents and homeowners. It holds a special place in our hearts as not only where we met but also where we envision ourselves living for many years to come. Additionally, with an expected guest list of over 150 people, the Chateau was the ideal location for its capacity to comfortably accommodate a large gathering. Moreover, our wedding took place in the fall, our favorite season, and the Chateau’s setting during this time was nothing short of breathtaking, with the vibrant fall colors enhancing the beauty of our special day.

Favorite moment(s) from your wedding day

Rob’s favorite moment from our wedding was our first dance. He had personally chosen the song and had long imagined how special that moment would be. He says that in that moment, I looked absolutely stunning. As for me, my most cherished memory was our grand entrance. We made a dramatic entry to Metallica’s ‘Enter Sandman,’ a song I had envisioned for this moment for a very long time. The energy and excitement of that entrance were exactly as I had imagined.

How would you rate your experience with The Chateau team?

The team at the Chateau was truly exceptional. They demonstrated remarkable availability, flexibility, and kindness, all while keeping the process straightforward and stress-free. Our wedding was quite a production, and while my husband was detail-oriented, my approach was more about making quick, decisive choices. The Chateau staff managed this dynamic with grace and ease, nailing the details and maintaining simplicity throughout.
