Curbside Yard Waste Recycling Program

Curbside yard waste collection is available through Waste Management to Incline Village and Crystal Bay, Nevada, residential customers during designated pick-up periods, which occur for 12 weeks in spring and 4 weeks in fall, at no additional cost. To participate, use one or more of the 96 Green Waste stickers mailed in mid-April to the billing address of each Waste Management customer.

🍂 Yard Waste Reminder: The collection period ends October 30. Bags left curbside after this date count as regular trash and may incur a $6.36 per bag fee from WM.

New for 2026: Bags may be made of black plastic or heavy-duty paper – specifically designed for yard waste.

ALL bags should be kept dry, to prevent breakage and spillage during collection, wet bags will not be collected until they have dried out. Bags exceeding 40 lbs will not be collected and customers will be notified that bags are overweight and must be corrected.

96 stickers will be mailed to each residential service account, each sticker shall be placed on one heavy duty bag filled with yard debris, not to exceed 40lbs. Bags will be collected on regular service day* each week. Please verify that your account information is current at WM.com. Yard waste may be placed in heavy-duty 32-gallon trash bags and left at the curb for pickup.  Each heavy-duty trash bag must have a yard waste sticker and cannot exceed 40 pounds.

Customers can also drop off bagged or loose yard waste at the transfer station during regular business hours. Stickers will still be required for drop-off.

Any noncompliant bags the final week of either summer or fall collection will be collected the following week as garbage and additional fees will be assessed.

💡 Tip: Avoid fees by taking your yard waste to the Transfer Station and using your 4 free annual disposals (up to 3 yards each), if available.

Program rules

Per IVIGD Ordinance 1, all bags of yard waste must contain a yard waste sticker and weigh no more than 40lbs. Bags not meeting these standards will still be collected each week, but will be subject to additional fees per the Waste Management fee schedule. Bags not meeting these standards are also in violation of IVGID Ordinance 1 and may be subject to formal ordinance enforcement actions.
