


Line Dancing Workshops
Join us for a series of progressive line dancing workshops designed for absolute beginners to intermediate dancers. Each workshop builds on foundational steps and techniques to help you grow your confidence, improve your rhythm, and enjoy the fun of line dancing!
About the instructor:
Sue Jenkins has been a dance and fitness instructor for over 20 years, teaching line dancing at Incline rec for the past four years. She is passionate about sharing the joy of movement, whilst having fun, keeping fit and meeting people. She will take beginners step by step through the basic moves and patterns used in line dancing, and then continue on to develop participants’ skills and styles while taking on more intricate dance routines and rhythm. Apart from teaching at the Rec, Sue attends line dancing workshops and instructs at parties and events locally.

Introduction to Line Dancing Workshop: August 20, 5:30pm – 7:30pm
Get ready to step, slide, and smile! This beginner-friendly workshop introduces you to the basics of line dancing in a fun and supportive environment. No partner or experience needed, just bring your enthusiasm and a willingness to move. You’ll learn easy-to-follow routines set to upbeat music while improving coordination, balance, and cardio fitness.
High Beginner Line Dancing – Stroke Improver Workshop: August 21, 5:30pm – 7:30pm
Take your line dancing skills to the next level! Designed for high beginners, this workshop focuses on improving technique, timing, and footwork through more complex patterns and combinations. You’ll refine your “strokes” which are the small stylistic details that add polish and confidence to your dancing. Ideal for those who know basic steps and are ready to build on their foundation.
Intermediate Line Dancing Workshop: August 23, 4:00pm – 6:00pm
Ready to level up your line dancing? This workshop is designed for dancers with a solid foundation who want to expand their repertoire with more intricate patterns, faster tempos, and directional changes. You’ll boost your confidence, enhance your styling, and improve rhythm and coordination. All while dancing to a variety of fun, upbeat music. Come prepared to challenge yourself and have a great time!
