Moonlight Hikes & Socials
We’re excited to announce that our last Moonlight Hike of the season will be at Snowflake Lodge at Diamond Peak Ski Resort! This is an iconic mid-mountain lodge offering panoramic Lake Tahoe views unrivaled in the Lake Tahoe area.
This moderate 2.4 round-trip mile hike is a part of the IVGID Active Adult Programs offered through Parks & Recreation

Participants are encouraged to wear warm clothing and bring a flashlight. If you would like to participate, but are unable to hike either or both ways, you may ride in the van to join the group at the top.
2025 Details
- Who: Seniors 55+ (Adults 21+ welcome)
- Time: Meet at the Recreation Center at 5:45pm for check-in and be ready for a 6:00pm departure.
- Daily Fee: $29, $25 with IVGID pass
- Dates:
- May 12, 2025: Flower Moon
- June 10, 2025: Strawberry Moon
- July 10, 2025: Buck Moon
- August 8, 2025: Sturgeon Moon
September 7, 2025: Corn Moon(CANCELED)- October 6, 2025: Harvest Moon
- This hike will go to Snowflake Lodge, a 2.4 mile round-trip hike.
