Mountain and E-Biking Rides
Beginning in May, explore bike paths and off road trails in the Tahoe Basin and Truckee area with IVGID Senior Programs. Riders of all abilities are welcome! Follow the ride with an optional lunch at a local restaurant with your fellow bikers.
2024 Details
Meet at the Recreation Center at 8:45am for a prompt 9:00am departure. Bring water, lunch, sunglasses/hat, sunscreen, and your bike (helmets recommended). Wear appropriate shoes and clothing. All sessions are weather permitting when safety is affected.
- Who: Seniors 55+ (Adults 21+ welcome)
- Dates: Wednesdays, May 8 – October 30, 2024
- Times: 9:00am – approximately 11:30pm (optional lunch following)
- Location: Various local bike trails, meet in the Recreation Center parking lot.
- Daily Fee: $15, $12 w/ IVGID Pass

June 26:
- Where: Commemorative Emigrant Trail (Truckee)
- Trail details: Moderate, dirt, rocks. 13 miles with a 1280 ft elevation gain
July 2: No session
July 10:
- Where: Truckee River Trail to Palisades (Truckee)
- Trail details: Easy, paved, hilly. 15 miles with a 203 ft elevation gain.
