Stand Up Paddleboard Lessons
Professional SUP (stand-up paddleboard) instruction provided by Michael Smith at Ski Beach during the warmer months, May through October. Topics may include safety, water awareness, equipment, paddle boarding basics, stroke development, and self-rescue.
Youth and adult private and group paddleboard lessons are provided by professional ACA Level III Instructor, Michael Smith. Coach Michael has been involved in coaching and teaching paddleboard for over 10 years. Whether you are a first-time paddler or experienced, and looking to improve your technical skills, Michael will help you along the way. Michael is an experienced paddleboarder in multiple disciplines, including flat water fitness paddling and racing, rough water and downwind paddleboarding, stand-up paddle surfing, and class III whitewater SUP. He is also a credentialed physical education teacher in Nevada with over 30 years of professional teaching experience.
Indoor lessons are typically available from November through April at the Incline Village Recreation Center pool.

- Who: Anyone ages 6+

- Fees: 1.5 hour lesson (includes professional paddleboard instruction, paddleboard, paddle, PFD, and leash)
- Single Private Lesson: $75
- Semi Private Lesson (2 Students): $140
- Private Group Lesson (4-6 Students): $325
- 4-Pack Single Private Lessons: $235
- 4-Pack Semi Private Lessons (2 Students): $435
- 4-Pack Private Group Lesson (4-6 Students): $1015
- Skill Level – choose your area of focus:
- Level 1 – Introduction to paddleboarding, safety, and basic skills
- Level 2 – Skill refinement, progression, and paddling efficiency
- Level 3 – Rough water, upwind/downwind, catching small waves
- Level 4 – Paddle surfing, board management in breaking swell, positioning and wave selection
