IVGID has recently installed new propane barbecue grills at Burnt Cedar Beach, with plans to install additional propane grills at the other District beaches in the future.
Currently, the propane grills will attach to standard refillable 3-gallon or 5-gallon propane tanks, which can be brought from home or purchased around town. (Note: the grills will not connect to the small, green, camping-stove-style 16oz. cannisters.)
Charcoal grills are still available at the beaches, but their use can be restricted due to fire restrictions in place throughout the summer season. Click here for the North Lake Tahoe Fire Protection District's page on outdoor burning to see if charcoal is currently permitted in our community.
