Senior Transportation Program
The Senior Transportation Program is a collaborative effort provided by IVGID Senior Programs, Washoe County, NDOT and RTC. Services include transportation opportunities for shopping, errands, outings, and medical or personal appointments. This door-to-door, reliable, affordable service provides local seniors a way to get around year-round.
Weekly Senior Transportation Schedule & Fees
Transportation services may be subject to alteration or cancellation in extreme weather and are subject to driver and vehicle availability. Requested destinations are limited to Washoe County and adjacent communities (i.e. Carson City, Stateline, Truckee, and Kings Beach). Reservations are required. Please call the Senior Transportation Hotline at 775-886-1020 and leave the requested information for local errands at least 48 hours in advance for weekly routes.
- Tuesdays: Carson City & Reno (alternating) $10
- Requests must be made by noon the previous Friday
- Wednesdays: Local (Incline Village/Crystal Bay/Kings Beach) $5
- Requests must be received by noon the previous Monday
- Friday: Local (Incline Village/Crystal Bay/Kings Beach) $5
- Requests must be received by noon the previous Wednesday
On Demand Transportation
On Demand transportation is available for other individual needs at a premium cost. Request On Demand transportation services at least 72 business hours in advance. Call the Senior Transportation Hotline at 775-886-1020 and leave a message with details about your requested trip including date, time, number of people and destination. Requested destinations are limited to Washoe County and adjacent communities (e.g., Carson City, Stateline, Truckee, Kings Beach). Services may be altered or cancelled in extreme weather conditions.
- Errands, appointments, and personal services: $45 per person
- Includes same-day round trip, additional fees apply after 3 hours ($10 per 30 min over)
- Airport drop-off or pick-up: $60 per person
