Spring Conditions Update – Golf Courses
Welcome to the 2026 golf season! We are excited to get the season started and to provide our golfers a quality product and golfing experience.
Throughout the winter, the golf course maintenance staff monitors the golf courses for snow depths, potential ice formation, damage to the courses, etc. The winter season can bring different scenarios, whether it is more of a mild winter with minimal snow or a heavy one with deep snow depths covering the golf courses. This year we’ve had a bit of both at times. The good news is that as of late February there has been minimal ice formation on the greens, which can end up causing the most winter damage. In late February/early March we clear cart paths to be able to get around the golf course, and then we start the process of snow removal on the golf course greens. It is too early to know what other kind of damage there may be or to what extent as of press time, but we’re expecting manageable conditions. As we get closer to spring, we will start removing snow from greens and tees, and cleaning up all the debris that litters the courses throughout the winter. Spreading of black mulch and sand will help melt the snow, and before we know it we will be mowing and grooming the turf in preparation for the golf season. We look forward to seeing everyone out on the courses!
We look forward to seeing you on the golf courses soon!
