Precationary Boil Notice for Third Green Court – Rescinded
For residents of 3rd Green Court ONLY
UPDATE: May 7, 2026 – PRECAUTIONARY BOIL WATER NOTICE RESCINDED
PRECAUTIONARY BOIL WATER NOTICE – AFFECTED AREA ONLY
Location: All of Third Green Ct
Date Issued: May 5, 2026
The Incline Village General Improvement District (IVGID) water system (PWS ID# NV000158) has experienced a loss of pressure that could result in contamination of drinking water within the affected area listed above.
BOIL YOUR WATER FOR THREE (3) MINUTES BEFORE USING
IVGID’s water system experienced an event resulting in a loss of pressure in the distribution system. Loss of pressure can allow backpressure, back siphonage, or movement of water from outside the pipe into the system through cracks, breaks, or joints common to all water systems. This condition may allow bacteria or other organisms to enter the water system and may pose a health risk, particularly to individuals with compromised immune systems.
What should you do?
If your residence or business is located within the affected area:
• Do NOT drink the water without boiling it first.
Bring all water to a rolling boil for three (3) minutes, allow it to cool, and then use it.
Alternatively, use bottled water.
Bring all water to a rolling boil for three (3) minutes, allow it to cool, and then use it.
Alternatively, use bottled water.
Use boiled or bottled water for:
- Drinking
- Making ice
- Brushing teeth
- Washing dishes
- Food preparation
Boiling water kills bacteria and other organisms that may be present.
Possible Health Effects
Inadequately treated water may cause symptoms such as diarrhea, cramps, nausea, headaches, or other gastrointestinal symptoms. These symptoms are not caused only by organisms in drinking water. If symptoms persist, please seek medical advice. Infants, young children, the elderly, and individuals with weakened immune systems may be at greater risk and should consult their healthcare provider.
What happened? What is being done?
A service line break caused a loss of pressure in the distribution system.
Repairs and system monitoring are underway. We anticipate resolving the situation by Friday, May 8, 2026, by 3:00 p.m. Once the required water quality testing has been completed, customers will be notified when it is safe to resume normal water use.
