Jazz Hip Hop Fusion Performance Session 

Combining technical aspects of Jazz dance with modern Hip Hop elements, this class encourages students to explore the dance style used in today’s videos, movies and on dance floors everywhere.  If your child is between the ages of 6 & 8 and dreams of dancing their way onto MTV this is definitely the class for them!  All moves taught will be age-appropriate.

Fairytale Ballet Performance Session

Fairytale Ballet Performance Session is for dancers ages 3-5 years old. They will enjoy learning ballet fundamentals and terminology, while dressed as their favorite fairytale characters! This pre-ballet class will include basic ballet dance, reenactment of dance parts, dress-up, free dance and the reading of fairytales.

Hip Hop Performance Session

Instructor Brittnee Bramy will introduce the elements of Hip Hop in a class designed for ages 9 through 11. Dancers will focus on rhythm, syncopation and stage presence while enjoying expression through this relevant dance style derived from a combination of jazz, funk and street jazz. This style of dance requires high energy, attention to detail and an awareness of complex rhythms.

EPIC Base Camp

Grades K - 5th

Experienced and responsible staff will lead campers on numerous exciting adventures. Campers will enjoy activities, which include swimming, arts & crafts, games, and more. Pre-registration is required for this camp.

Tahoe Tiny Timbers Gym Time

Tahoe Tiny Timbers Gym Time is designed to give children (ages 0-5) an opportunity to socialize and use their gross motor skills. This is an open gym for parents and/or caregivers to play with their children in a stimulating environment. Caregiver must be present during the entire playtime.

Day: Tuesdays & Fridays  (Program begins October 18, 2016 and runs through May 12, 2017)

No class on 2/21, and 4/11
Time: 9:30 am - 11:00 am
Fee: $5/child, $4 w/IVGID Pass/child;

Parents' Night Out

Grades K - 5th

Kids ages 5 -11 will have the chance to experience fun at the Recreation Center and parents will get an evening off . The schedule is packed full of fun, pizza and salad, games, swimming, arts and crafts, and ending with a movie. Pre-registration is strongly encouraged.

Fee: $30, $25 w/IVGID Pass. Must register by the Wednesday prior or a $5 late registration fee will apply.

Community Snowshoe Full Moon Hikes to Diamond Peak’s Snowflake Lodge

This award winning event encourages exercising in an intergenerational social setting for ages 9+ and is part of the Community Health and Wellness Outreach Initiative. Food and bar items available for those who would like to purchase dinner at the top. Complimentary s'mores and hot cocoa. Meet at Diamond Peak’s upper parking lot at 5:00 pm for the 1.5 mile hike to Snowflake Lodge. We will return around 9:00 pm to the Base Lodge. Please call (775) 832-1310 for more information.  Pre-registration is required.  Must have own equipment.

Kidz Club After School Program (Grades K-5th)

Our energetic, safety-minded and fun Youth Development Staff is here to make certain your child has a great after school experience. Youth will get an opportunity to participate in games, create art projects, work on homework and receive healthy and delicious snacks. Scholarships are available. A new scholarship application is required for each school year. 

Days: Monday - Friday
After School: 3:00 pm - 6:00 pm

No program: on Snow days and school holidays also on June 16th

Daily Fee: $15; $12 w/IVGID Pass

Early Release : $5 extra fee (Wednesday 2:30 pm - 6:00 pm)

Shotokan Karate with Gregg Henrickson (All Ages)

This class is designed for everyone interested in learning the art of Karate. The beginner or the advanced student will be able to make great progress in self-defense and benefit from improved physical and mental health, self-discipline and self-confidence. This is an ongoing class.

Youth Sports

Youth Basketball League

Grades: 1st - 8th

This popular Incline Village/North Lake Tahoe/Truckee basketball league is open to players of all abilities in the 1st - 8th grades. Players will learn and develop fundamentals of the game, rules, teamwork and sportsmanship; winning is de-emphasized. Teams are coached by community volunteers.  There are coed leagues for 1st - 2nd graders, and boys and girls leagues for 3rd - 4th, 5th - 6th and 7th - 8th graders.  Each participant will receive a team t-shirt and photo.  A skills day will be held December 7th dependent on the number of players registered for each specific age group.  Practices begin in January.
