Recreation Center Heating Ventiliation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Project
HVAC Project Overview:
Since original construction in 1992, repairs to the Recreation Center’s Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) system have been ongoing and extensive. In November of 2022, Cerris Systems was contracted to perform an inspection and evaluation of the existing Recreation Center HVAC system. Inspections were completed on six air handling units (AHUs), three air conditioning condensing units (CUs), five return fans, and three exhaust fans. Recommendations within the Cerris Systems report included replacement of the AHUs based on age, wear, and parts availability for repairs and also replacement of the air conditioning CUs based on age, wear, and industry phased-out refrigerant.
The project included design of replacement HVAC equipment and preparation of construction documents to support the capital replacement of the aged Recreation Center HVAC infrastructure. The construction contract for project was successfully bid in August/September 2025.
Construction is expected to commence in Spring 2026 and take multiple seasons. A construction schedule will be available following successful contract execution and confirmation of replacement equipment procurement and manufacture lead times.
